Dinner, etc: Variety of Thai food. Whole portions. Two pieces of white birthday cake with strawberries. A beer and milk (not at the same time).

Nice dinner in Santa Cruz: salmon cake appetizer (really good), chicken in a peanut and coconut sauce with yam (?) fries (OK). Tequila Mojito, which sounded cool but really wasn't; stick to the original rum ones. Part (maybe half) of a chocolate mouse dessert (goooood).

Someone (apparently a reader of this boring diary) left me a message on my answering machine asking if I had the #12 w/ diet Coke or the salad and pizza. As you can see, today I went CrAzY and had neither. I would have called them back, but they left neither their name nor their number. I couldn't recognize your voice, because the machine makes it sound a bit digital.

Speaking of which, last I knew the answering machine had my ex-roommate's voice on it. As far as I know, he is not a cybernetic automaton, but I have been fooled before.

Diet change

The trainer at the gym said that I had to eat more. He did not say I could eat more cookies, though. So, I'm going to try to force down a breakfast (fruit, some milk) in the morning as well as two other snacks (like half a pastrami sandwich) during the day in addition to lunch and dinner.

I got a membership at the South Bay Athletic Club, which is a local gym. I'm doing weight training (since losing pounds means losing all those muscles I had... <snrk>) and I'll be trying the kick boxing class tomorrow. We'll see how weird that is for Pacifist Poz.

Well, It's been a month since I started. A month completely devoid of cookies, which has been very difficult. As a reward, I made cookies last night. I ate two with milk last night and brought the rest in to work so they would be gone and not tempt me like the one I had for breakfast.
